Český Krumlov Český Krumlov is a World Heritage site in southern Bohemia - a 13th century castle and town surrounded by hilly countryside. Its castle overlooks a horseshoe bend in the Vltava river, where an ancient ford took an important trade route across the river. In the town narrow cobblestone streets pass between ancient houses and inns. There are some 300 protected buildings in the historic centre, including the oldest baroque theatre in the world.
